(Yes, that's how it's spelled, and yes, I go by the whole thing.)
I am a former criminal defense attorney who uses photography as a coping mechanism to deal with my current life as a stay at home mom to three young children. I specialize in documentary family photography and love capturing the real, silly, weird, and tender moments of childhood. After thirteen years of living in sunny South Florida, I have moved back to my hometown of Westport, CT.
As a mother of three, I know all too well how fast time goes by and everyday life changes. Babies grow into toddlers and then all of a sudden they're running off to kindergarten and college. You know that quote about the days being long but the years being short? It's so true! When you're deep in the trenches of parenthood, it's easy to get stuck in survival mode. How many times do you get so busy just getting from one thing to the next that when you finally have time to breathe, you realize that the past few weeks or months or years are a blur?
I'm here to capture that blur -- the laughter and tears, the real moments and connections, and the unique rhythm of your family. As a documentary family photographer, I photograph families in a photojournalistic style. My goal is to preserve your current everyday life in an artful way for you to remember always. I'm here to give you a tangible reminder of how awesome and special your family is.
The best part part about my sessions is that they don't feel like photo sessions!
Imagine just hanging out with a friend who brought her camera along. There's no stress, no bribery, and no sulking husband. Want to find out more? Contact me to receive a copy of my client guide! I am based in Fairfield County, Connecticut and love to travel.
